Overview

Heir Heads represents the top end of our live resin lineup.

Released under the Connoisseur tier, this resin is selected for the traits that matter most in a premium concentrate: cultivar quality, aromatic intensity, flavor complexity, resin character, and overall finish.

The genetics alone give it an exceptional foundation. Heir Heads combines Apples & Bananas with Runtz, bringing together ripe fruit and spice with the candy, cream, and gas associated with modern Gelato-family genetics. Conception Nurseries, which offers the cultivar, describes Heir Heads as carrying an intensely concentrated Gelato-style nose and lists caryophyllene, limonene, and linalool as its dominant terpenes.

The result is a live resin with a profile that changes as it opens: sweet fruit first, creamy Gelato character through the middle, and deep diesel underneath.

Aroma & Flavor Profile

Heir Heads has considerably more going on than a straightforward candy strain.

The profile opens with ripe fruit, berry, and sweet apple, followed by a warmer spiced-fruit character that can resemble apple cider.

That sweetness moves into cookie dough, cream, and Gelato-like richness, while herbal funk and diesel provide a heavier base.

Across established cultivar references, the recurring notes include diesel, berry, ripe fruit, cookies, herbs, skunk, and spiced apple.

Expect:

Ripe Fruit → Spiced Apple → Berry → Sweet Cookie → Herbal Funk → Diesel

It is sweet without being purely candy-forward, and gassy without allowing the fuel to overwhelm the fruit.

Genetics & Cultivar Character

Heir Heads = Apples & Bananas × Runtz.

The Apples & Bananas side contributes much of the cultivar's layered fruit, spice, and herbal character.

Runtz brings the sweeter modern dessert side: candy fruit, cream, and the recognizable Gelato-family gas underneath.

Together, the cross produces a cultivar that sits comfortably between exotic fruit, dessert genetics, and fuel-heavy resin.

Conception Nurseries compares Heir Heads with Gelato 33 and Gelato 41 and specifically highlights its strong gassy Gelato terpene character.

That Gelato influence is one of the reasons the cultivar translates so naturally into a premium live resin.

Connoisseur Live Resin

Connoisseur is our highest tier of live resin.

This designation is reserved for batches that stand above the standard lineup in overall resin quality and sensory character.

Selection is based on the complete extract rather than cannabinoid percentage alone:

Exceptional starting genetics
Pronounced natural aroma
Complex strain-specific flavor
High-quality resin character
Desirable texture and finish
A profile worth preserving as a premium single-cultivar release

Heir Heads earns that position through complexity.

It has enough sweetness to immediately grab attention, but behind it is a much deeper combination of fruit, spice, herbs, cream, and gas.

Extract Type & Finish

Heir Heads is produced as a full-spectrum THCa Live Resin, with the goal of preserving the defining aromatic character of the cultivar rather than simplifying it into a generic sweet extract.

Its terpene profile is particularly well suited to live resin. Caryophyllene contributes spice and depth, limonene supports the brighter fruit and citrus character, while linalool adds a softer aromatic dimension. Conception Nurseries identifies those three among the cultivar's dominant terpenes.

The finished resin is intended to showcase the full progression of the cultivar—from fruit and dessert notes into the darker diesel underneath.

Effects & Experience

Heir Heads is generally described as a hybrid with an initially uplifting, euphoric, and energetic character that can transition toward a calmer, more settled experience. Leafly users most frequently report energetic, uplifted, and euphoric effects, while other cultivar descriptions similarly characterize it as balanced between an upbeat opening and a more comfortable finish.

Individual response varies depending on tolerance, amount used, and setting.

Why It Stands Out

Heir Heads is exactly the kind of cultivar the Connoisseur designation is intended for.

It brings together:

Apples & Bananas × Runtz genetics
Competition-recognized cultivar pedigree
Ripe fruit and berry
Distinct spiced-apple character
Sweet cookie and Gelato depth
Herbal funk and diesel
A naturally complex terpene profile

Heir Heads also carries legitimate competition pedigree: Leafly reports that the cultivar took second place for Sungrown Flower at the 2024 Emerald Cup.

This is not a resin selected simply because it is strong.

It is selected because the cultivar gives you something to chase from the first aroma through the final flavor.

Fruit. Cream. Spice. Gelato. Gas.

That is what earns Heir Heads its place at the top of the resin lineup.

Usage

Best suited for experienced concentrate users looking for one of our highest-quality live resin expressions and a complex fruit, dessert, and gas profile.

Because live resin is highly concentrated, begin with a small amount and adjust gradually according to individual preference and tolerance.
